WHAT IS AME LICENCE
A.M.E License is an authority issued by DGCA, Government of India, to ensure & certify the safety/ fitness of aircraft and helicopter used for Passenger/ luggage/ medical flights. The work to be done prior to each flight. Any aircraft cannot fly without this fitness clearance from an AME.
WHO IS DGCA?-
DGCA stands for Director-General of Civil Aviation comes under ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. It is having an Authority to control aviation (Flying, Licensing, Training, Airports, ATC, Safety, etc) and conducts AME examination and issues the license to candidates without which our students cannot become AME.
HOW I CAN BECOME AME?
To be an AME, you have to undergo a specialized training course from any DGCA approved institute and then pass concern DGCA exams. During training, you need to clear four semesters to receive the Basic AME Certificate License (BAMEL).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION @ INDRAPRASTH?
> Pass in 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or
> Pass in 03-Year Diploma, from any recognized board/university.

Which Parts Of An Aircraft Would I Be Maintaining As An AME?
Depends on your Licence privileges like Mechanical (for full-body, Air-conditioning, Wheels, and Brakes, All seats, Cabin, Controls, Oxygen, etc) and in Avionic (Electrical, Instrument & radio).

> The MRO acronym is used to refer to the maintenance, repair, and operations used by a company to create an end product.
> MRO may include spare parts, equipment such as pumps and valves, consumables such as cleaning supplies, plant upkeep supplies such as lubricants, and activities completed to restore or maintain the functioning of needed equipment. Anything used in the manufacturing of, but not employed in, a final product may be considered MRO.
CAN I TAKE EDUCATION LOAN FROM BANK
Yes, all national Banks at their discretion provide the education. WHAT IS AME COURSE?
The AME training course is designed to give students a comprehensive knowledge of the aircrafts, their systems and good maintenance practices to equip the students to become skilled and competent aircraft maintenance professionals. The syllabus covers knowledge of Indian Aircraft Rules & regulations, Construction & operation of Aircraft, engines, related systems and aircraft materials used in the construction of airframes, engines and accessories; knowledge of engineering practices and practical training in the use of various equipment; knowledge of good maintenance practices, human factors and human performance, necessary judgment and competence required to assess the airworthiness of aircraft and its equipment etc.
WHAT ARE CHANCES FOR MY PLACEMENT?
The sector is promising and placements are never a problem after successful completion of such courses. Aviation is the fastest growing industry in India in comparison to other sectors. Sources report that Indian carriers have ordered more 400 aircraft which will be delivered over next decade, 05 aircrafts a month, and as per industry standards, 50 maintenance personnel are required per aircraft. After allowing foreign investments in Indian Aviation Industry, international players are positively looking Indian market. A lot is already happening in Indian Aviation with Tata-Singapore collaboration, and Tata-Airasia JV creating more jobs in the near future.
CAN I JOIN DEFENCE SERVICES?
Although this course is only for the civil aviation industry but, BSF, Indian Navy, HAL etc are taking some recruitments with AME Trained persons.
